- tourists...

So I have been visiting some temples here and the grand palace and I have to say: the architecture and everything is very beautiful here a lot of colours all around but it is so crazy touristic! Just so many people on every sight and no real feeling there... The poor monks have to pray while dumb tourists run into the temple and take pictures of them... No respect here from some people. I can't believe parents who let their children climb on structures in the temple area I was really shocked and thought someone should throw them out. This is NO way to behave in the religious grounds of another country. Really sad...

Being a student here is great. I love the chula area it's really beautiful. The professors i've met until now are really cool guys all non asian because of the english programm. The subjects seem to be cool until now I've had thai culture (going on trips all around!!!) and new, documentary filming (we're doing a news show at the end really cool project).

So I'm enjoing myself here getting to know the cool sweets here and adopting the lifestyle (chilling it will all work just don't be too fast xD)

 We ran into some soldiers and beauty queens infront of the grand palace and I still don't know why they were there...

Chula!!!

Today was orientation day in Chulalongkorn university!
It was just so amazing, all these buildings so different! The there are faculties for everything! And you can buy food and drinks all over and on fridays there is a market just right in the middle of the campus! And the people are sooo nice and caring! Everyone is trying to help you =)
All of us got a buddy, a thai student who is helping you and shows you around and thats so great! I learned that every thai person has a nickname because their names are long and complicated or just because they have one and everyone calls them just by their nicknames. So it was great to have you as buddy nutch!
And there are bus lines that drive you around the university for free and a shop for the uniform and the most beautiful buildings and parks and statues...........
And if you wear the uniform you can patch winnie pooh and mickey mouse and stuff on it like fashion accessoires together with the great looking silver accessoires that have to be on it.
Oh and I have class tuesday from 9 am to 1 pm wednesday from 8 am to 1 pm and thursday from 8 am to 4 pm which is great too ;)
It was so much for one day but so amazing!

Rain

Imagine going to the beach, seeing the sea and some dark clouds... A little rain starts... And all of a sudden it rains like crazy! You get wet all over in under 5 seconds! All you can do is grab your stuff and run under the next tree and feel lucky that you just have your bathing clothes on... And that goes 3 times and after it the sun comes out a bit and all day there is no more rain... Really fascinating! Even if it sounds harsh it was a experience that I will never forget... No need for a shower, just go outside :D

Sun sun sun!

I made a big mistake... I underestimated the sun! I got totally sunburnt... But I love the sun much and went for a walk... Well my fault.
My dear germans I am sorry I have to tell you that if you have never tried thai food in thailand you will never have eaten the greatest food in the world. I have never been to a land where it doesn`t matter where you are the food is always unbelievable!
Also the plants and the environnment here - just fantastic! Every photo is a postcard! Just lovely here!

Koh Chang

I arrived at koh chang today in the sea view resort. It is amazing here! I`m feeling like I am living in a postcard! The ocean is wild but nice and the pools are great! I feel so relaxed in this tropical wonderland...

Platinum shopping mall

Today I went to Platinum shopping mall - WOW!
Never been shopping in a crazier place! You run through narrow roads people everywhere and you can buy everything every cloth you've ever dreamt of in Germany! There is nothing that's not there! It's just incredible! I'm telling you, if you can't find some shorts in Germany, just come here it'll be in this mall for sure. And here nothings more than 20 euros to the max exept some stuff like evening dresses (which are just sooooo cute like the ones you buy in Germany for 300 euros and here it's 40 euros!)
And I have never ever seen people dragging huge sacks or baggs full of clothes behind them... just so amazing here!

Even if there is a lot of traffic and stuff but if you are patient and like asian food it's just some great experience!

Shopping

today we went shopping at mbk.  It is the biggest mall I`ve ever been in just so huge! I read that it has 2000 shops!  Naturally it was fun and I bought nice things. I was trying to hold back because I will be here for so long ;) And one funny fact I  discovered: here they sell 'german' sausages and stuff. But what they call wiener is actually a weißwurst ;D lots of love from bangkok!
